Executives From Whalley Computer Associates and Bradford Customer Xtra Mart Convenience Stores Join Bradford in a Panel Showcasing Successful NAC Cloud Deployments Across Multiple Industries (January 19, 2012)

CAMBRIDGE, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/19/12 -- Bradford Networks, the best choice to enable secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, announced the details of its participation on a panel presentation at the New England VMware User Group Meeting, taking place today at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. In the "Utilizing Cloud Technology to support BYOD, NAC and Compliance" panel, Bradford Networks and Whalley Computer Associates will explore the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend and feature real-world examples for securing mobile devices on corporate networks via case studies across several vertical markets:

  • Retail: Bradford customer Xtra Mart will discuss its implementation of and SonicWall to identify, classify, and monitor every endpoint, including security cameras, safes, environmental monitoring systems, cash registers and PCs, at approximately 200 retail locations.
  • Education: Bryant University's VMware implementation of Bradford Networks has reduced the university's energy and efficiency costs, and allowed its IT managers to monitor, troubleshoot and manage access for every user and device on the its network.
  • Healthcare: A large university medical hospital's implementation of Bradford Networks and Airwatch Mobile Device Management automatically differentiates hospital authorized iPads from personal iPads and grants appropriate network access for both types of systems.

Bradford Networks will demonstrate the breadth of its network security solution Network Sentry, the only Network Access Control (NAC) solution that can differentiate between corporate and personal assets, and provision network access accordingly, including deployment option, the industry's first pure NAC Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering.

The consumerization of IT has proven to be an unstoppable trend as employees are continuing to demand the use of personal devices to access corporate data. To appease employees and increase productivity, many organizations are now struggling to adopt BYOD without compromising network security. IT departments looking to adopt a BYOD model, need to establish a policy to secure these new entry points and to accomplish this, they need to identify all devices, control network access everywhere across the enterprise and track what users are doing on the network. In this panel presentation, attendees will discover how network and security managers can use NAC solutions to retain visibility and control into the network in a BYOD environment. Participants will also learn how they can enable their employees to use the device of their choice by implementing NAC with absolutely no hardware or virtual appliance required through a cloud solution.

Thursday, January 19, three sessions, at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 ET

Gillette Stadium, One Patriot Place, Foxborough, Massachusetts
