Boris Ships RED 2.5New version supports Mac OS X
Boris RED combines two packages--Boris FX and Graffiti. To this it also adds vector painting, motion tracking, rotoscoping and advanced 3D compositing. It integrates with non-linear editors and also operates as a standalone effects creator using the RED engine.
Aside from new operating system support, RED 2.5 includes the following new features and enhancements:
- New title, transition settings and style palette elements;
- Animated style parameters;
- Draft typing (turns off while typing and then redraws when complete);
- New gradient styles;
- Ability to animate the angle of text as it moves along a path;
- Support for Direct Show;
- Several interface enhancements.
Boris RED 2.5 is free for those who purchased version 2.1 after Jan. 1. Upgrades from RED 2.x run $50. Upgrades from RED 1.x run $295. Boris FX, Calligraphy and Graffiti users can upgrade for $999. The full version costs $1,595. For more information, visit http://ww.borisfx.com.
