Boris FX Releases Boris AAF Transfer Version 2

Bidirectional Sequence Transfer Tool for Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid (February 01, 2011)
DMN Newswire--2011-2-1--

Boris FX, the leading developer of integrated effects technology for video and film, today announced the availability of Boris AAF Transfer Version 2, a set of two Apple Final Cut Pro plug-ins for transferring sequences between Final Cut Pro and Avid editing and finishing systems. One of the plug-ins exports Avid-compatible AAF format files from Final Cut Pro to Avid editing and finishing systems. The other plug-in imports AAF format files from Avid editing and finishing systems to Final Cut Pro.

"Boris AAF Transfer is a huge time-saver when it comes to moving projects from Avid to Final Cut Pro," commented Michael Svirsky, Post Production Supervisor, This Old House. "Even transitions and keyframed effects come across flawlessly, but the best part of this tool is the ability to transfer the Boris Continuum Complete filters that we regularly use on all our systems."

Using Boris AAF Transfer, Avid and Final Cut Pro users can exchange projects that include transitions, effects, image and time warps, 3rd-party effects, and keyframes. Avids AMA (Avid Media Access) architecture gives Avid users direct access to many popular QuickTime formats while Final Cut Pro users can access Avid MXF files using Calibrated Softwares Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OS X. Boris AAF Transfer supports both online and offline workflows.
