Boris FX 7.0 ShipsVisual effects tool gets OpenGL hardware acceleration, new filters
Boris FX includes features like animated apply modes, particles, motion blur, lighting effects, displacement maps, unlimited video layers and self-animating natural effects, such as snow, rain, fire and clouds. New features in version 7.0 include:
- OpenGL hardware acceleration;
- Improved render speeds;
- A variety of new filters, including blurs, Film Grain and Light Zoom;
- Vector paint tools;
- Vector spline editing;
- Spline-based primitives;
- Animated gradients;
- A standalone Keyframer utility with preview to monitor functionality.
Boris FX 7.0 supports a wide range of hosts on Mac OS X and WIndows, including Adobe After Effects and Premiere; various Avid systems; Apple Final Cut Pro; Media 100 and others.
