L Series High Performance RAID Receives Certification on DeckLink HD Pro
Irvine, CA April 15, 2005 Advanced Technology and Systems Co., Ltd. (ADTX), a leading manufacturer of reliable and affordable high performance computer storage for the video, film and broadcasting industries, announces certification of L Series High Performance SATA RAID for use on Blackmagic Design DeckLink HD Pro.
?The ADTX L Series passed our extensive in house testing with Mac OS X and Windows XP Pro," Said Matt Dowling, Blackmagic Design Product Manager. ?The tests were performed with SD and HD uncompressed 10 and 8 bit media and performed very well.
Many RAID ?manufacturers are just integrators of 3rd party RAID controllers or they resell a real manufacturers complete system as their own. ADTX is actually one of a small group of companies that engineer and manufacture their own RAID controllers, like the ones used in the L Series High Performance RAID. By developing their own controllers, ADTX is able to improve the performance, reliability and price of the L Series to make it a better choice for video, film and broadcasting applications.
?The L Series High Performance RAID is one of the best values available when you consider that you can start with a single controller and 10 drives to do a couple streams of SD video, then scale up by adding more drives and the second controller to do 1080i or seven uncompressed 10 bit SD streams thanks to the high throughput rate. Says Naresh Chadha, President of International Operations for ADTX, ?The L Series RAID, together with the Blackmagic DeckLink, creates a winning combination.
ADTX will be exhibiting the L Series High Performance SATA RAID at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) event April 18-21 in Las Vegas. In booth SL4555D, ADTX will demonstrate the superior performance of the L Series RAID by displaying live throughput results of the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test. Also, ADTX will use NAB to introduce and display three new RAID systems. Additional information is available on the ADTX website at http://www.adtx.com/us or by calling (949) 583-2993.
