BitHeadz To Support Audio Units in Mac OS X

New features to be part of 3.1 update By Dave Nagel
BitHeadz has announced impending support for Audio Units in Mac OS X. The Audio Units component in Mac OS X is an interface for plugins that can be used for effects and plugins. It also offers a number of enhancements over some previous standards.

As far as BitHeadz is concerned, the company says that unlike it current-generation software, the forthcoming releases will be able to integrate with OS X sequencers like Emagic's Logic. Currently, BitHeadz Unity 3, Phrazer 2 and Phrazer LE operate under OS X in standalone mode. Beginning with Unity 3.1, set for release in the first quarter of 2003, the entire family of Unity products will gain Audio Units support. This includes Unity Session, Unity DS-1 and Unity AS-1.

BitHeadz says the updates will be free for current users. For more information, visit
