Big Machine Design Asks ?R U The Girl?Completes main title open for new UPN show (August 05, 2005)
Big Machine Design creates show open and graphics for UPN's "R U The Girl?"
On behalf of client Laurie Girion, co-executive producer of ?R U The Girl?, BMD has delivered the main title and show package, including all in-show graphics, lower thirds, and transitions.
In the newly launched series ?R U The Girl?, T-Boz & Chilli of the pop group TLC head out across the country to search for that one girl to come along with them as they embark on the next stage of their careers. Blending comedy and reality, these playful and endearing girls set out on a journey filled with emotion, comedy, surprises and special guests to look for that one lucky and talented girl who just might be the perfect fit. For nine weeks, the girls work closely with the diverse group of aspiring female performers to find the one with the right chemistry who might be the perfect fit.
In the live finale, T-Boz & Chilli will pick the winner and she will perform with them for the first time. The winner will also get to record a single with them. The new series is produced by The Jay and Tony Show in association with Fox Television Studios. The executive producers are Jay Blumenfield & Anthony Marsh, Chilli & Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. Bill Diggins and Laurie Girion ("Last Comic Standing") are co-executive producers.
Laurie Girion said, ?"I have worked with Big Machine Design several times in the last few years and can always count on them for being innovative as well as flexible. In the world of network television this is a rare and extremely necessary quality."
Regarding their work on the project, BMD Creative Director Ken Carlson said, ?We presented a variety of ideas for the network and production company to choose from. The looks ranged from full 3D character animation to a simple, flat color treatment with live action. In the end, we delivered a bright and cheery main title that focused attention on the talent.
The production credits for these projects were:
