Bella To Show Editing Keyboards

New models to include built-in shuttle/jog controller By Dave Nagel
Bella Corp. says it will show off a new line of keyboards at the NAB convention next week in Las Vegas. The new line is designed specifically for digital video editing with integrated shuttle/jog controllers.

According to Bella, this is the first line of standalone keyboards to come equipped with shuttle/jog controllers. The controllers themselves comprise an outer ring for for playing video at a desired speed and an inner wheel for controlling video frame by frame. Each keyboard will come with presets for individual applications, and additional presets will be available for download. They're designed to work with typical video editing applications like Apple FInal Cut Pro, Avid Xpress DV, Adobe Premiere and others and can also be used as standard keyboards for use with any application.

Bella has not announced pricing or availability for the new keyboards, though they will be shown at NAB, and an announcement with further details will be available then. The company's current "EZ" keyboards, which include colored keys and multimedia controls for specific video editing applications, sell for $79.95 to $149.95 and are available for Macintosh and Windows systems.
