Belief ?Goes Clubbing For Times Indias Zoom Channel

Creates complete network package for soon to be launched channel (October 14, 2004)

Belief, an award-winning broadcast design and production studio, has unveiled its latest work, a complete network package for Times Indias Zoom Channel, slated to launch during mid November. In less than three months, Belief went from concept to completion for this progressively hip channel. Mike Goedecke, founder/executive creative director, Belief, made the announcement.

Glamour, glitz and a surreal discotheque nightclub are the trademark look Belief developed for the sexy, new channel. Zoom, a cross between ?E! and ?Fine Living, offers viewers a behind the scenes glimpse into celebrity lifestyles along with a look at the finer things in life. It is one of the latest networks to be part of Indias vastly expanding airwaves. For Zoom, Belief created a comprehensive network graphics package that consisted of IDs, menu pages, end pages, and numerous other on-air elements.

?The broadcast design for Zoom has taken the booming Indian television and entertainment industry by storm. No TV channel in the land of the Kama Sutra has seen an ID like this ever before. The overall look is an amazing amalgamation of glamour and slick design, said Shailindra Kaul, Head of On-Air Promotions for Zoom

?This was our third network design for India. The popularity of our award winning SET and MAX redesigns caught the attention of numerous marketing executives in this market, Goedecke said. ?Whats really unique about Zoom is the fact that its an Indian network, but the execs there wanted it to evoke a very western sensibility in style and design. We definitely achieved this with our upscale nightclub/lounge setting.

?It was imperative that the look and feel of this new channel be glossy and exclusive, yet mysterious, said Richard Gledhill, Belief creative director. ?By shooting the talent in a dark environment with lots of hard edge lighting, we were able to achieve that effect. We then composited all of the live action into the CG nightclub that is built around the Zoom logo. The exotic car and limousine really helped to pull off the exclusive, VIP nature of this new channel.

?Zooms creative team from India was flown to LA to observe our large-scale 35mm film shoot. The amount of time we had from shooting to final delivery was about a month and a half, an incredible crunch, said Belief executive producer Gregory Stacy, who worked closely with the client and supervised the entire project.
