Bayard?s J'aime Lire Store, N°1 children?s digital media platform for tablets and computers, has been chosen by the major Japanese publisher Gakken as a model for the development of its own platform. The J'aime Lire Store was developed in collaboration with Aquafadas, a pioneer in digital publishing technology.
Gakken, which is the N°1 preschool children?s business in Japan, was inspired by the "kiddies? corner" in the J'aime Lire Store designed for the very young. Gakken found Bayard?s approach ? focused on making reading a pleasure, largely based on its research on ergonomics, readability and user-friendliness ? particularly convincing.
The two publishers agreed on a shared ambition: to let children discover the best of editorial creations in digital form, and to combine their editorial experience. Gakken and Bayard will therefore partner to optimize their editorial content for children.
Gakken and Bayard?s stores, developed with Aquafadas technology, will also host the reading products of other children?s publishers who choose to join their platforms.
