Bail set for man in Vegas trick-or-treater's deathBail set for man held on DUI, reckless driving charges in death of Las Vegas trick-or-treater
LAS VEGAS (AP) ' A Las Vegas judge has set bail for a 41-year-old man charged with reckless and drunken driving in the death of a 12-year-old trick-or-treater.
The judge told Justin Caramanica (car-ah-MON'-ick-ah) on Friday that he'll be on house arrest with an alcohol sensor bracelet and no driving privileges if he makes his $10,000 cash bail or posts $100,000 bond. He was being held in the Clark County jail.
Justice of the Peace Eric Goodman set a court date next Thursday to see if Caramanica makes bail and to schedule an evidence hearing.
His lawyer, William Terry, said the defendant will plead not guilty to the charges in the crash that killed seventh-grader Faith Love while she was trick-or-treating on Halloween night.
