BBC Motion Gallery Clips Featured In Mountain Dew MDX Spot
?All Night Long reveals the secret nightlife of animals, partying with a little help from MDX energy soda. BBC Motion Gallery (BBCMG) provided seven shots to BBDO/New York, including clips of a bush baby, aye-aye, snake, possum, bat, tarsier and flying squirrel. The footage was then digitally treated as if seen through the lens of night vision goggles and color-tweaked in the same green shade as the soda (which is the same hue as Mountain Dew). Framestore CFC, New York provided digital effects, so that the cute creatures believably lip-synch to Lionel Ritchies popular ?80s tune. Independent Research Consultant Susan Nickerson of Nickerson Research liaised with BBCMG to obtain the needed shots.
"I can always count on BBC Motion Gallery to deliver the goods, particularly when it comes to wildlife footage. There is an incredible range of material, including some of the more obscure species of the world, commented Nickerson. ?The quality of the footage is top-notch and the BBCMG staff is terrific."
