AvatarLabs Extends Entertainment Industry Prominence into Corporate Sector(July 24, 2008)
DMN Newswire--2008-7-24--AvatarLabs, one of Hollywood's most successful online marketing agencies specializing in the creation of online rich media and enriched websites (designed to offer Internet users additional information and interactive features while promoting major motion pictures,) has, for the first time, extended the company's success beyond the entertainment industry and into the corporate sector. The company has just completed a number of new online marketing campaigns for such Corporate Clients as Playstation, Lexus, Yahoo!, the NFL, Major League Baseball, and DirecTV. Rex Cook, Executive Creative Director/Founder, AvatarLabs, made the announcement.
In addition to its new corporate work, AvatarLabs continues its dominance in the area of online marketing for the movie studios. The company contributed online marketing campaigns to five of Summer 2008's biggest Hollywood blockbusters, including "The Dark Knight," "Wall-E," "Get Smart," "Prince Caspian," and "Hancock."
ABOUT NEW AVATARLABS CORPORATE CAMPAIGNS:
For client Deutsch Advertising, AvatarLabs created several rich online banner ads promoting a number of videogame titles from Playstation. These include: "Major League Baseball '08: The Show," "Singstar," and "God of War." AvatarLabs transformed intriguing static design imagery into ground-breaking standard and rich media online advertising, highlighting actual game play footage to promote each videogame title.
For client Yahoo!, AvatarLabs created online viral marketing campaigns to promote awareness and drive registrations for two of Yahoo!'s most popular online tournaments-- "Fantasy Baseball" and "College Hoops/March Madness."
Partnering again with Deutsch on another campaign, AvatarLabs helped to create and produce a desktop "Widget" for DirecTV's "NFL Sunday Ticket" campaign. This Widget was built and deployed using a new technology from Adobe called "Air," which incorporates both Flash and Flex technologies. Because this new application harnesses the ability to function on both Microsoft and Mac operating systems, DirecTV was able to accomplish the very difficult task of reaching both PC and Mac users.
And, for client Team One Advertising, Los Angeles, AvatarLabs helped design and develop an online rich ad introducing the innovative features of 12 Lexus vehicles to users in the market to buy a new car. The online ad allowed Lexus to provide a wealth of information in a rich media environment, as opposed to Lexus having to build a more time-and-cost intensive mini-site. Each Lexus vehicle in the AvatarLabs created rich ad featured "HotSpots," delivering information to users in the form of a video, photography or text/copy.
Founded in 2001 by Executive Creative Director Rex Cook, AvatarLabs is one of Hollywood's most successful online design and production studios. The company is the winner of three DGA "IMAC" (Internet Movie Advertising Creative Showcase) Awards for Creative Excellence, among many other prestigious industry awards and honors.
AvatarLabs was behind the online marketing for some of the most successful Hollywood films released during the past 12 months. These include campaigns promoting "Wall-E," "Hancock," "Get Smart," "Narnia 2: Prince Caspian," and the upcoming "The Dark Knight."
Other high profile AvatarLabs projects have included creating online campaigns promoting "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," "I Am Legend," "Alvin and the Chipmunks," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," "The Simpsons Movie," "Ratatouille," "Ocean's 13," "Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End," "300," "Borat," "Night at the Museum," "Happy Feet," and many others.
