Automation iQ Wins AV design/Integration AwardHonored at the 2004 ICIA/Archi-Tech AV Awards at Infocomm (June 10, 2004)
Automation iQ has been awarded top honors at the 2004 ICIA/Archi-Tech AV Awards at Infocomm, the worlds largest communication technology conference and expo.
The winning project, Hangar One is an ultra-exclusive private jet aircraft terminal and "club", and has over 110,000 sq. ft. of secured hangars and guest services areas as well as a fully-appointed business conference center.
Automation iQ an electronic architecture engineering firm with offices in Austin, TX and Phoenix, AZ., provided design, integration and project management services for all ?low-voltage requirements on the project, and integrated all datacom, lighting control, HVAC control, distributed audiovisual/video teleconferencing, and security subsystems. The AiQ|Fusion automation technology platform, a software-based control system, provides elegant, unified control and monitoring over virtually all of the building's integrated electronics.
Collaborating with architect Vern Swaback of Swaback Partners, Automation iQ's work on the Hangar One project is a testament to the stunning level of elegance and efficiency that can be gained through the utilization of standards-based automation technology and professional engineering methodologies.
The winning project (one of six honored), was selected from over 80 submissions from integrators and architecture firms around the world, and reflects the state-of-the-art in both structural and electronic architectures.
