The prompts of the ARRAY command are:

Select objects:
Enter the type of array [Rectangular/Polar] :

At the first prompt objects to form an array are selected. After each selection the prompt is displayed again. To terminate the selection an ENTER is given.

A rectangular and a polar array can be drawn.

The type of array to be drawn can be selected at the second prompt.

If is chosen for a rectangular array then the following prompts are displayed:

Enter the number of rows (---) <1>:
Enter the number of columns (|||) <1>

The number of rows and columns is entered at the third and the fourth prompt.

If the number of rows and columns is only 1 then no array can be drawn. The following prompt is displayed:

One-element array, nothing to do.

If an array can be drawn then the following prompts are displayed:

Enter the distance between rows or specify unit cell
Specify the distance between columns (|||):

At the fifth prompt a unit cell can be drawn by picking two points in the drawing area. After picking the first point the following prompt is displayed:

Other corner:

After picking the second point the array is drawn.

Also a distance can be entered. If the number of rows is more than 1 then the command asks for a distance between the rows. The same with columns.
