Aurora To Debut ReaktorHD at NABPipeSDI board also to be shown
According to Aurora, ReaktorHD "will allow users to monitor video on low-cost LD monitors while taking advantage of RT Extreme within Final Cut Pro." It includes one HD/SDI input, two independent HD/SDI outputs, S-video and component outputs and RS422 deck control. For audio, it includes four channels of 24-bit AES inputs, six channels of 24-bit AES outputs and up to eight channels of SDI embedded digital audio inputs and outputs. It also supports a second desktop. Details on pricing and ship dates were not available at press time.
Aurora will also be showing off its new PipeSDI, a 10-bit uncompressed SD card for Final Cut Pro. It offers one 10-bit SDI input, one 10-bit SDI output, four channels of AES audio input, four channels of AES audio output and eight channels of embedded SDI audio, along with RS422 device control and support for a second desktop. It will sell for $499.
Both products, along Aurora's existing video capture and editing boards, will be shown off at the convention of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in April in Las Vegas. For more information, visit http://www.auroravideosys.com.
