Attachments.me and Box Team Up To Integrate Gmail and Cloud-storage(February 21, 2012)
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 21, 2012
Managing files across e-mail and the cloud has never been easier, thanks to a collaboration announced today between Box and Attachments.me. Box users can now save e-mail attachments directly from their Gmail accounts via Google Chrome or their mobile devices to their Box accounts using the Attachments.me document management app.
The Attachments.me app brings unprecedented speed and deep e-mail integration to the already robust Box experience, said Attachments.me CEO Jesse Miller. This integration eliminates the need for users to jump back and forth between programs to manage their attachments saving time and increasing productivity.
In addition to the seamless-save capability, Attachments.me users can access Box directly while composing Gmail to create shared links to cached files. This functionality is also available through an iPhone application, which enables users to compose emails and attach files directly from their Box accounts. The file is sent as a real attachment, without ever having to be pulled onto their phone reducing time and data charges.
"At Box, we want to make it incredibly easy for our millions of users to access and share their content," said Chris Yeh, VP of Platform at Box. "Managing email attachments can be one of the biggest challenges to a business professional's productivity. Our new integration with attachments.me removes the burden of sorting, saving and sharing attachments and allows our users to focus on more important business priorities."
Developed as a de facto personal assistant for managing attachments within Gmail, the Attachments.me app allows individual and enterprise users to search content within email attachments. This enables exceptional content discovery while simultaneously slashing time spent searching through e-mail messages and managing attachments. The Attachments.me app is available as an extension for Google Chrome and as an iPhone app, and requires a Gmail account.
Attachments.me develops disruptive software applications that enhance user productivity by integrating functionalities across programs and streamlining the user experience. Its signature application for managing e-mail attachments is already helping individuals and enterprises manage more than 40 million files from within their Gmail inboxes. The tool is available as an extension for Google Chrome and as an iPhone app. Founded in Toronto, Canada by Benjamin Coe and Jesse Miller in 2011, the company relocated to San Francisco after earning seed funding from Foundry Group.
