Asahi Broadcasting Chooses eMotion MediaPartner 4.0 As Digital Media Management Platform

(October 10, 2001)
Japan's Asahi Broadcasting has chosen eMotion MediaPartner 4.0 as its digital media management platform for its Osaka and and Tokyo facilities. ABC's selection was based on a number of key software evaluation criteria, which included fitting into the unique operating processes and culture of a Japanese broadcaster. ABC also needed a DMM solution capable of supporting the company's requirement to comply with Japan's complex image copyright regulations. Connectivity, scalability and interoperability with the station's Panasonic DVCPRO archiving system was also vital to the decision.

"Compared to other digital media management systems, MediaPartner is very sophisticated. It is easily customizable and has a flexible architecture easily integrated with other platforms," said Keishi Kandori, ABC's Director of Research and Development, in making the decision to choose eMotion MediaPartner.

"Asahi Broadcasting is raising the international standard with its adoption of MediaPartner," said Bob Griffin, President and CEO of eMotion. "Not only will they be able to increase efficiency in their digital media production processes, but their assets will now be available to a Japanese speaking audience globally."
