Artefact Celebrates Five Years of Growth and Addresses Increased Demand for Creative Innovation With Opening of San Francisco Office(October 24, 2011)
SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/24/11 -- Artefact, the award-winning technology product design firm, whose mission is to utilize the power of design to improve people's lives, announced today that it is opening an office in San Francisco to address the growing demand for its unique design approach and innovative thinking. The San Francisco office will be the hub for Artefact's Bay area clients, which include Ebay, Samsung Electronics and Adobe. In addition, by establishing physical presence in the Bay area, Artefact ensures it has its finger on the pulse of two of the hottest technology areas in the U.S., gaining inspiration by the flow of innovation opportunities San Francisco and Seattle are known for.
"Artefact is not afraid to challenge design conventions yet never loses sight of the ultimate test for a designer -- making products usable and desirable," said Andrew Chang, Senior Technology Manager of the Product Innovation Team at Samsung Electronics. "Their multidisciplinary approach to design allows them to bring inventive concepts and holistic user experiences to life. Having them in our backyard will strengthen our collaboration and ensure we continue to delight consumers with ideas that work."
The San Francisco office will start with a small studio at RocketSpace, one of the city's most prominent "techcelerators." Led by Charlie Stabb, who has 14 years of experience in game design working on Xbox, Sony, Electronic Arts and IBM, the office will initially host three designers.
To mark the opening of the new office, Artefact invites the design community to a happy hour cocktail reception on November 17 at RocketSpace, located at 181 Fremont Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. For more information visit: http://artefacthappyhour.eventbrite.com
