Artbeats Highlights New International HD and PAL TitlesExclusive Footage from Central America, Africa, the Middle East, India, Asia and the South Pacific (September 10, 2005)
Artbeats used F900/3 CineAlta HD cameras to capture truly unique footage of a wide variety of lifestyles, portraits, landmarks, religions and crowd scenes from around the globe. Some of the companys newest titles include: The Holy Land, People of Central America, People of East Africa, People of the Andes, People of the Middle East, People of the South Pacific, Faces of the World 1 and Children of the World 1. Artbeats will highlight these stunning new international HD collections and several other new titles, for the first time to an international audience at IBC, Hall 2, Stand 140.
?It was an honor and an adventure to work with Artbeats on its global HD initiative, said Craig Walters, veteran director and cinematographer. ?As DP on several of the Artbeats shoots, it was my job to shoot footage of cultures in East Africa, Central America, India and the South Pacific. Because our Sony HDW-F900 CineAlta camera package was fairly lightweight, we were able to travel to remote locations and capture authentic, visually rich imagery of various tribes and cultures, something that would have been much more difficult using traditional 35mm equipment.
?We wanted to expand our library with more diverse footage of international faces and places lifestyles in third world countries, unique people groups and varied cultures and it made sense to shoot it all in HD, said Phil Bates, Artbeats president. ?We are very proud of the resulting titles, which received very positive feedback at NAB 2005, and we look forward to the response from the international broadcasting community attending IBC.
Artbeats will also feature new HD adolescent lifestyles and HD aerials collections during IBC, including: College Life, School Days, Going Out, Teen Life, Teens on the Edge, Portraits-Teens, Las Vegas Aerials, Northeast City Aerials; and two new V-line collections: Florida Beaches and British Coastal Villages.
