Aquafadas Announces iDive 1.5

Animations exportable to video iPods or as Quicktime files (December 23, 2005)

Aquafadas announced iDive 1.5, the latest installment in its popular digital video cataloging and editing product. iDive l.5 will ship today with "Mosaic," a powerful new award-winning feature that allows users to create and share motion graphics from digital video footage in a matter of minutes.

"Mosaic solves the main problem plaguing DV users: that their friends and families never see anything they've shot on tape because video editing is too time consuming a task," says Matthieu Kopp, Aquafadas' CEO. "With Mosaic, iDive users now have a way to bypass video editing entirely, and as an alternative, automatically generate fun animations from their iDive DV catalogue. For busy people, that's a huge advantage: it moves their digital video from the shoebox to someone's inbox."

The Mosaic feature in fact gives users the ability to generate a variety of striking and fun animations- a spinning globe, a cartoon like assembly line, an elegant museum presentation- by automatically loading all the data that iDive has intelligently captured and catalogued: the highest rated images, clip titles and annotation information. Professional users in particular will appreciate the newfound ability to integrate motion graphics into client presentations and create animated portfolios.

Mosaic uses the technological advances in graphics and imaging introduced in Mac OS 10.4 Tiger. All animations can be exported as Quicktime files, streamed directly to a video camcorder or sent to iTunes, ready to be exported on the brand new video iPod. iDive 1.5 with Mosaic was previewed at Apple Expo 2005 in Paris, and won the MacGeneration Trophy for Best Apple Technologies Integration
