Appligent Ships StampPDF Batch 3.0

Server-based PDF processing software adds CMYK, TIFF support By Dave Nagel
Appligent has released StampPDF Batch 3.0, a new version of the company's server-based PDF batch-processing software. The latest update adds support for new files formats and offers sequential stamping. It's available now for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX and HP-UX.

StampPDF Batch is a server-based, command-line application for batch processing high volumes of on-demand publishing and printing jobs. The software is used, among other things, to stamp images, watermarks and text on PDF documents. The new 3.0 release adds the ability to stamp CMYK images and now supports watermarking and stamping TIFF, JPEG and PDF images It also now stamps numbers sequentially across a collection of files and allows users to choose the number of digits in the stamp. Other new features include:

  • More flexible Bates numbering for legal notation;
  • Enhancements for specifying text rotation and justification;
  • Enhanced typographic features, including support for fractional point sizes and transparent stamping with varying levels of opacity;
  • Support for stamping encrypted files and the linearization of PDF.
