Applied Science Fiction Announces Digital GEM

Image correction plugin designed to reduce noise By Dave Nagel
Applied Science Fiction has debuted another new plugin in its line of image correction tools for Adobe Photoshop. The new release, Digital GEM, is designed to adjust noise and grain in images. A Windows version is available now, with a Macintosh version on the way.

Digital GEM is designed to reduce noise and grain in images while maintaining image detail. It operates as a plugin within Photoshop and compatible hosts and can handle a variety of noise and grain types, including noise captured in both film and digital cameras. It includes a Clarity slider for softening and sharpening images and also handles highlight and shadow noise separately.

Digital GEM is available now for Windows for $79.95. Applied Science Fiction lists the Macintosh version on its Web site as "coming soon." For more information, visit
