Apple Updates iCal, Releases iSyncSoftware supports Mac OS X 10.2.3
Apple's iCal is a calendar application that allows users to manage dates and publish calendars via Apple's .Mac service. It also allows users to subscribe to calendars. According to the company, more than 1 million copies of iCal have been downloaded since its introduction in September, and more than 200,000 calendars have been published on the Internet.
iSync 1.0 is designed to synchronize contacts and calendars between host computers and mobile devices, such as Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, PalmOS handhelds, iPods and other devices. The software also automatically synchronizes information between multiple Macintosh computers connected through the .Mac service.
Both applications are available now as free downloads and require Mac OS X 10.2.3 and a .Mac subscription. For more information, visit http://www.apple.com.
