Appian CEO Matthew Calkins to Discuss the Mobile and Social Enterprise at CIO Perspectives Washington, D.C.

Exclusive Executive Exchange Session Will Examine the Challenges and Opportunities of Modern Business (June 11, 2012)

RESTON, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 06/11/12 -- Appian, the global innovator in enterprise and cloud-based business process management (BPM) software, today announced that Appian President and CEO Matthew Calkins will co-host an exclusive Executive Exchange session at the CIO Perspectives Washington, D.C. conference on June 13 at 12:30pm. The invite-only lunch discussion will allow D.C.-area senior IT executives to share ideas and opinions for tapping the power of mobility and social business collaboration to drive new levels of business value. It will be co-hosted by Adam Dennison, Vice President and Publisher at CIO Magazine.

CIO Perspectives Washington, D.C. will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. CIO Perspectives is a series of one-day events for IT leaders produced by CIO magazine and the CIO Executive Council, a peer advisory professional association. The agenda is created by an advisory board of Fortune 1000 CIOs, ensuring that these events provide a powerful mix of peer-to-peer networking, in-depth presentations, workshops and discussion panels -- all focused on the business and technology issues enterprise CIOs care most about.

"Matt understands the pressures that the consumerization of IT are placing on modern CIOs," said Mr. Dennison. "He has facilitated several Executive Exchanges in this year's CIO Perspectives series, and his insights have helped drive many illuminating discussions."

Mr. Calkins, a business software industry visionary, has led Appian's rise as a preeminent BPM software vendor, and the leader in Mobile BPM, Social BPM and Cloud BPM innovation.

"Mobility and social business collaboration have forever changed the game in enterprise IT. The burning issue for CIOs is how quickly they can take advantage of these innovations to transform their role in the business," said Mr. Calkins. "That's precisely what we will be discussing at this week's Executive Exchange in Washington, D.C."
