Apogee Electronics has debuted a variety of new expansion cards for its Rosetta 800 AD/DA converter, including a FireWire expansion card and two boards designed for connecting up to Pro Tools systems. One of the Pro Tools expansion cards is available now, with the rest of the gear expected to roll out through April 2004.

On the Pro Tools front, Apogee has introduced two expansion cards for connecting the Rosetta 800 to Pro Tools Mix and Pro Tools|HD systems. It's available now for $595.

Also for Pro Tools is the X-HD option card, designed to connect the Rosetta 800 directly with Pro Tools|HD systems to provide conversion without the need for an additional interface. It provides a primary HD port for connecting directly to HD Core or Accel cards and another expansion port for daisychaining multiple Apogee devices. It's compatible with the latest Pro Tools software and can be used alongside similar interface. The X-HD will be available in April for $595.
