Anthony Gallo Acoustics Intros New Speakers for Pro Market

A?Diva Ti, Nucleus Reference 3, Nucleus Reference 3 Subwoofer Amplifier for Pros (November 02, 2005)

Anthony Gallo Acoustics (AGA), a high-end stereo and home theater loudspeaker manufacturer, today introduces its award-winning speakers to the pro audio market.  Of the companys high-quality product line, the all-new ADiva Ti, the companys flagship Nucleus Reference 3 and the Nucleus Reference 3 Subwoofer Amplifier are most suited to the pro audio environment.

I just finished mixing some of the new Stevie Wonder album on a pair of ADiva Tis, states Grammy Award-winning engineer Neal Pogue (Outkasts The Love Below), who was the first to use the ADiva Tis in a studio setting.  ?They are really smooth and great on the ears.  I find that they are perfect for hearing certain details in a mix, things that I like to zero in on. I found myself referencing on them quite a bit. They also sound wonderful when turned up really loud, which I like.

Based on proprietary driver development for the companys NucleusŪ Reference 3 loudspeaker, the new Ti series speakers benefit from a revolutionary full-range transducer. In addition, the loudspeakers feature AGAs patented S2 technology, which enhances low frequencies that go way beyond conventional satellite speakers.

?We designed these new titanium loudspeakers to mimic the incredible dynamics and transparency of our Reference 3 speakers, says Anthony Gallo, founder of Anthony Gallo Acoustics.  ?Though they are small, these new Ti transducers are true high-end drivers of a caliber never before seen or heard in affordable consumer or pro audio.

The Ti series offers unprecedented treble extension beyond 22kHz and achieves exceptional bass extension, which is only possible with the companys patented S2 technology.  S2 technology permits 7.5 octaves of linear bandwidth from a single 3 driver, which uses a pure titanium diaphragm that is strategically damped with paper and suspended on a Santoprene surround.

The titanium/paper coupling combines the smooth and natural sound qualities of organic fibers with the superior treble extension and improved off-axis linearity of titanium.  The voice coil, which has been enlarged to 1 diameter for even more dynamic range, is supported by an oversized Neodymium magnet with video shielding for freedom of placement. An under-hung architecture makes for even lower distortion and higher outputs than before.
Among the many special features that make the Reference 3 so unique is an upgraded version of AGAs patented CDT tweeter, the CDT II, as well as a hollow-cast, aluminum chassis filled with Gallos patented S2 technology air-density treatment. The CDT II and the S2 Technology are two crucial proprietary elements that meld to form an award-winning combination of audio clarity, precision and range not found anywhere near this price range for a loudspeaker.

Pierre Sprey, owner and engineer of Mapleshade Records and known for his brilliant acoustic CDs, has been using a pair of Reference 3s as monitors for all his sessions.  Most recently, Kanye West used his recording of the Harlem-based ARC Choir on his double-platinum, Grammy Award-winning track, ?Jesus Walks.

?The transient response on the Reference 3s is far faster and better than any monitor Ive ever heard, says Sprey, who has worked with numerous jazz, blues and Irish folk artists.  ?The dynamics are amazing and everything is very open so that I can separate everything I need to hear.  In addition, the tonal qualities on the Reference 3 are much closer to the sound of the live acoustic music that we normally record.

For additional bass boost, AGA recommends its NucleusŪ Reference 3 Subwoofer Amplifier (SA), a high-end audio component that features a bridgeable stereo amplifier, a high-quality active crossover and a sophisticated equalization circuit in one single chassis.  The numerous control settings allow a user to control and fine-tune multiple passive subwoofers.  When used in its mono mode, the Reference 3 SA can generate 600 watts RMS.
