Animazoo’s Gypsy Animates Dubai's Favourite AvatarBrings animated national mascot, Modhesh to live television for the first time (July 06, 2005)
Animazoo are using their Gypsy real time motion capture systems to add magic to summer in Dubai this week, bringing the animated national mascot, Modhesh to live television for the first time.
Driven in real time by a Gypsy 4, the omnipresent smiley character appears to a daily audience of one million. Modhesh is the face of Dubai Summer Surprises; a large scale series of children’s entertainment events, spread across the city.
The daily one hour programme, ‘Modhesh World’ is broadcast on Dubai TV, live every day from Fun City, the heart of Summer Surprises at the Dubai World Trade Centre for the next 2 months.
“We spent twelve months researching the market and finding the right equipment. Many can provide real time animation but we chose Animazoo because it’s their expertise – they got all our pipelines up and running in no time,” said Managing Director of 2Digital Advertizing, Ali Khairaddin. “The support was fantastic. Who else would send their chief engineer for 20-hour a day support over seven days?” he said.
The event and programming runs from 22nd June to 2nd September 2005. For more information see http://www.mydsf.ae/dss/index.asp
