Andromeda Releases EtchTone Filter for PhotoshopPlugin creates etch effects
Andromeda has released a new filter for Adobe Photoshop called EtchTone. The plugin is designed to create randomized etch effects by converting an image to black and white lines and laying the result back over the original image.
The EtchTone filter offers a number of options for customizing the look of the etch effect. The user can select from pre-defined line per inch settings or enter custom LPI values. You can adjust the blend value of the etch, making it more or less dominant over the original image. And you can choose from several image controls. These include:
- Brightness and contrast settings;
- Several types of sharpening, from normal, to low-rez to extreme;
- Several posterization settings;
The Andromeda EtchTone filter is available now for Macintosh and Windows for $89. For more information, visit http://www.andromeda.com.
