Anadigics Intros Gain Block Amplifiers for Cable & Wireless

New 50 Ohm gain block amplifier provides high linearity for wireless applications (September 25, 2001)
Anadigics, Inc. launched the AGB3301, a device designed for use in environments requiring very high linearity, low noise and low distortion. The AGB3301 is ideal for transmit and receive paths in 50(OMEGA) wireless applications, such as Cellular Base Stations, WLL and MMDS, all of which require highly linear components.

Consuming less than 1 Watt of power, the AGB3301 Gain Block Amplifier provides +45 dBm output IP3. A typical gain of 14 dB and a low 2.4 dB noise figure further complement the performance of this part. The device operates over a frequency range of 250 to 3000 MHz, at supply voltages between +5 and +10 Volts, and at temperatures from -40 to +85 degrees C.

The AGB3301 is housed in an SOT-89 surface mount package, and is priced at $4.50 in quantities of 10,000 pieces. Samples of the device are available now. It is manufactured at the Company's state-of-the-art facility in New Jersey and is 100% RF tested before shipping.
