An Alternative for the PURGE Command

By Jos van Doorn
Let's purge a drawing. We can use the PURGE command. Since AutoCAD 13 the PURGE command can be used anywhere during drafting.

The PURGE command is used by entering PURGE at the command prompt. The following prompts are displayed:

Purge unused
Blocks/Dimstyles/LAyers/LTypes/SHapes/STyles/
Mlinestyles/All:
Names to purge <*>:
Verify each name to be purged?

When the PURGE command has finished then a list starting with "No unreferenced ...." is displayed.
