Allen & Heath Displays Mixers at 2004 NAMM

Xone DJ mixing products as well as GL Series, MixWizard, and more (July 14, 2004)

American Music & Sound will be showcasing Allen & Heath's Xone DJ mixing products as well as GL Series, MixWizard, and small PA Series powered and non-powered mixing consoles at the 2004 NAMM Summer Session (Booth #4214, Gaylord Entertainment Center, Nashville, TN, July 23-25, 2004).

The Xone:92 will be in the spotlight. The innovative Xone:92 is a four-channel, eight-input mixer, with two stereo returns/mono mic channels, that incorporates the advanced features demanded by today's professional DJs, including a MIDI output that offers users the unique ability to manipulate virtually any piece of outboard MIDI equipment from the voltage-controlled faders and filters on the mixer surface.

Allen & Heath will also be showing additional options to enhance its flagship Xone:V6 audiophile rotary club mixer. The company launched a valve option card for the acclaimed Xone:V6 rotary mixer at the end of last year and has since developed two add-on modules, the EQ Isolator and the V6 Crossfader unit.

Allen & Heath's GL Series of consoles, offering versions from 12 to 22 busses, offer dual functionality for use at FOH or monitors. On display will be the all-purpose GL2200, the leading mixer in its class and a workhorse in the studio or on the road. Features include 6 auxiliary sends, 4 audio groups, and 4-band EQ plus HPF.

Allen & Heath's third generation of MixWizard desk/rack mount consoles was introduced earlier this year. The new WZ12:2, WZ14:4:2, and WZ16:2 mixers utilize the latest technology to add new and improved features to the range. The new WZ16:2 and WZ12:2 feature a dedicated mono output fader, with innovative mode for control of aux fed subs, while the WZ14:4:2 builds on Allen & Heath's pioneering dual functionality and boasts a 6x2 matrix, a unique feature for a compact mixer.

The PA series is targeted at live sound customers including PA and A/V rental companies operating smaller systems, bands, music venues, churches and schools. The PA12-CP and PA20-CP feature Allen & Heath's own Constant Power amplifier, which gives a full 500W RMS per side into either 4 or 8 ohms, a new padless preamp, internal FX unit, SPDIF output and parametric output EQ. The PA12, PA20 and PA28 mixers are unpowered siblings of the company's PA-CP models. The main features of the unpowered PA Series are a new padless preamp, internal and editable Digital FX, SPDIF output and parametric output EQ.
