Alien Skin Announces New Photoshop Filter PackageSplat! to be Carbonized for Mac OS X
The package includes six plugins, which can each generate a variety of effects. The first, Frame, is designed to produce photorealistic frames and mattes to an image or selection (rectangular). It includes more than 100 frames and allows users to select a style and scale the frame with an interactive preview window.
Resurface, another filter in the collection, adds surface textures to objects or selections. It includes more than 100 textures, ranging from paper and metal to stone, wood and leather.
Other filters in the collection include
- Fill Stamp, which fills a selection with objects from stamp libraries. The set ships with more than 100 of these libraries, according to Alien Skin.
- Edges, which adds decorative edge effects.
- Border Stamp, which is similar to Fill Stamp except that it is used for borders.
- Patchwork, which turns selections or entire images into mosaics.
Splat! will be available in late March for Macintosh (including OS X) and Windows. It will sell for $99. For more information, visit http://www.alienskin.com.
