Alias Strikes Deal with House of Moves

Diva-based character animation tools to make their way into Maya By Dave Nagel
Alias today announced that it's started licensing character animation technologies from House of Moves, a motion capture studio and developer of Diva and Diva View software. Alias says the software will be used in future releases of Maya, Alias' 3D modeling and animation suite.

Diva software is geared toward editing motion data and includes technologies like noise filtering and gap filling. It also include batch processing capabilities, mo-cap skeleton creation and custom scripting. Alias has not yet said how the technologies will be incorporated into Maya or which versions of Maya will be affected. The company also declined to comment on which platforms will be supported when the technologies are integrated into Maya.
