Ahmadinejad: Iran won't retreat from nuclear path

Day after UN report, Ahmadinejad pledges Iran won't retreat 'an iota' from its nuclear path By The Associated Press

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) ' President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Iran won't retreat "an iota" from its nuclear program but is strongly rejecting a U.N. report claiming that Tehran is seeking atomic weapons.

Ahmadinejad chided the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency, saying it is discrediting itself by siding with "baseless" U.S. claims that Iran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons.

Ahmadinejad made the comments on Wednesday in a speech addressing thousands of people in central Iran. The speech was broadcast live on state TV.
