Adobe Teams with CompUSA for InDesign Training

Free courses start in August By Dave Nagel
Adobe has teamed up with computer retailer CompUSA to distribute InDesign 2.0 and also to provide free training to users. InDesign will be the first high-end publishing system to be sold at CompUSA's 220 stores, and the free courses will be held in 70 of CompUSA's training regions.

According to Adobe, the deal makes CompUSA an Adobe Certified Training Provider. The free training course will give customers an introduction to InDesign 2.0, including navigation, setting type, working with transparency and graphics and creating tables, as well as printing and exporting to PDF.

Courses will begin in August, and registration, open now, is free for customers with a coupon who purchased InDesign from January 2002. Sessions will be offered twice per month from August 2002 through February 2003. Training coupons are available at
