Addition of Scribes HTML Speech Recognition Editor Provides Mobility and Continuity(January 31, 2012)
Lake Forest, IL (PRWEB) January 31, 2012
Scribe Healthcare Technologies, Inc., offers a fully integrated HTML Editor in conjunction with its speech recognition engine on the evolutionary transcription editing and review platforms. For over three years, transcription companies and medical personnel have been benefiting from increased productivity and lower documentation creation costs with Scribes implementation of M*Modals Speech Understanding Engine. Additionally, use of Scribes integration with M*Modals Speech Understanding Engine for both dictation and transcription editing has been yielding improved quality and reduced turn-around times of dictated reports. But physician flexibility and use of mobile devices was still not widely available, until now.
Previously, editors and transcriptionists edited dictated reports (or drafts) generated by the engine and then sent the final reports to the dictators in Microsoft (MS) Word. Healthcare providers or those assisting them in transcription review were reliant on MS Word for final review, editing and approval of the dictated reports. Now, with the innovation of Scribes HyperText Markup Language (HTML) Speech Recognition Editor, physicians can review reports from virtually any Internet connected device. Report layout and management closely resembles MS Word but eliminates the need to have MS Word installed on a local PC or remote server.
With Scribes HTML Editor, healthcare providers can securely access completed reports through a web browser or on any mobile device or laptop with Internet connection. Scribe Mobile and the Speech Recognition HTML Editor enable one of my doctors to be mobile during her onsite visits, explained Catherine Bishoff, Owner of Maryland Transcription Services (MTS). This doctor dictates into her iPad and doesnt want to use anything but her MAC. Consequently the Mobile application and HTML editor are working well for her.
The addition of the HTML Speech Recognition Editor extends even greater mobility and flexibility to those utilizing Scribes implementation of M*Modals Speech Understanding Engine. The majority of our accounts are already on speech recognition, said Catherine Bishoff. The transition to HTML speech recognition was easy, in that we did not have to install additional components or equipment to utilize the HTML with speech recognition. I love not having to worry about changes on my teams or clients computers. With the insertion of a few special formatting elements, converting from speech recognition to HTML speech recognition is seamless.
