Actiance Expands Leadership Team With Appointment of Two Key ExecutivesCompany Further Strengthens Expertise With the Addition of Senior Sales Leader, Supports Expansion With Product Management Principal (October 18, 2011)
BELMONT, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/18/11 -- Actiance, enablers of the safe and compliant use of unified communications, collaboration and Web 2.0, today announced the addition of two key executives to further propel Actiance as a leader in social media and real-time communications enablement and compliance, and extend the company's international reach. The company has named Allan Peters as senior vice president of worldwide sales, and Scott Whitney as vice president, product management.
Peters will drive the expansion of Actiance's global sales program to increase its reach through international, indirect and direct channel expansion. He brings over 18 years of national and international senior sales and leadership experience, and has held executive management roles at start-up companies and established technology market leaders. Prior to joining Actiance, Peters led worldwide sales for systems and security endpoint management provider, BigFix, acquired by IBM in July 2010. Previously, Peters was CEO of Gamma Enterprise Technologies which was acquired by Applimation, and senior vice president of sales at SecurityFocus which was acquired by Symantec. Peters has led enterprise sales teams for Symantec and Computer Associates.
Whitney brings a wealth of product management experience, serving as general manager for hosted archiving services at Iron Mountain, before joining Actiance. Prior to Iron Mountain, he led marketing and product management for on-premises email archive vendors, Mimosa Systems and Symantec. He will be responsible for guiding Actiance's overall product and positioning strategy, ensuring the company continues to deliver market-leading solutions.
