AT&T and Avaya Launch New Fixed Mobile Convergence Package for Business UsersNew Offer Provides Greater Mobility, Flexibility and Cost Control (March 03, 2009)
BASKING RIDGE, NJ -- (Marketwire) -- 03/03/09 -- Businesses and organizations can now gain more control over mobile communication costs while providing workers with greater flexibility with a new offer from AT&T* and Avaya. A new version of AT&T Mobile Extension combines Avaya's unified communications technologies with AT&T's qualified voice services and compatible wireless devices in a packaged solution with predictable monthly costs.
This latest enhancement to AT&T Mobile Extension is designed for companies using Avaya Communication Manager IP Telephony on premises to extend corporate calling features. AT&T Mobile Extension supports the industry's leading mobile device platforms: iPhone, BlackBerry® and Windows Mobile®. The package includes Avaya one-X® Mobile, an easy-to-use downloadable interface that transforms the wireless device into an extension of the corporate network. The package also includes a qualified wireless voice plan, a compatible wireless device and an add-on wireless feature offering 500 additional Mobile Extension minutes to be used for fixed mobile convergence calling between the Avaya system and the enabled wireless device.
