ATI To Ship Radeon VE Mac Edition

Graphics card offers dual output By Dave Nagel
ATI Technologies today announced the Radeon VE Mac Edition graphics card, the company's first card for the Mac designed for dual display. It supports a combination of VGA, DVI and TV.

Featuring 32 MB of DDR memory and ATI's Hyper Z technology, Radeon VE Mac Edition supports either two CRTs, one CRT and an LCD or an LCD and a television. The card runs on a single Mac PCI slot and supports OS 9 and OS X.


The card includes ATI's Video Immersion technology and accelerates OpenGL and QuickTime. Boards will ship in September and will cost $129.
