ASC Seminar Slated For Beverly Hills Film FestivalTo discuss the role cinematographers play in the constantly evolving collaborative art of visual storytelling (March 28, 2006)
The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) is conducting a seminar titled How to Create Artful Movies on Budget: The Effects of New Technology on Cinematography at the International Beverly Hills Films Festival. The seminar will be held in the courtyard at the Clarity Theatre on April 8 from noon to 1:30 p.m. The Festival runs from April 5 through April 9.
World-class cinematographers including Michael Goi, ASC, Jacek Laskus, ASC Rob McLachlan, ASC, CSC, Donald M. Morgan, ASC, Kees Van Oostrum, ASC, Daniel Pearl, ASC, Steven Poster, ASC, Paul Ryan, ASC and Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC will participate on the seminar. They will discuss the role cinematographers play in the constantly evolving collaborative art of visual storytelling. They will also share their experiences with new film and hybrid postproduction technologies that are opening frontiers for creating artful movies for both the cinema and television. Most importantly, they will answer questions that you didnt know you had. Bob Fisher will moderate the panel.

The annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival was founded in 2001 by award-winning independent filmmaker Nino Simone to bridge the world of premiere independent cinema with the renowned community of Beverly Hills.
