AMS Neve Demonstrates World Class Solutions at AES

At the AES Convention in New York, AMS Neve will demonstrate its first class solutions for music, film and video post and broadcast. AMS Neve's continued success in all these application areas highlights why AMS Neve is the first choice for audio professionals today (AMS Neve Booth 134).

Just a year after its launch, and facilities throughout the world are demanding the 88R for their studios. The 88R is fast becoming established as the industry's choice for recording. Consoles installed in France, Japan and the US are making music for chart-topping artists. The 88R, which boasts a wealth of features, will be on the booth at the AES. The 88R brings together the best of revered classic designs and newly available technologies and is a remarkable advance on anything heard before.

Exciting new developments on the Libra Series digital mixing consoles will be revealed on the AMS Neve booth at the AES. Libra Series consoles are installed all over the world and are working on music, post and broadcast productions 24/7. Customers include 4MC, CBS, MSNBC, ITN and HBO.

AMS Neve's AudioFile SC high speed editor and the StarNet networking system will also be demonstrated at the AES. Latest developments for the AudioFile SC include DSP plug-ins and compatibility with ProTools. ProTools session files can be imported into the AudioFile SC, allowing the user to browse to a folder and import a ProTools 5.0 session file.

The Logic 3SC is the latest addition to the legendary Logic range of postproduction systems and will be on the booth at the AES. Logic 3SC is a fully networkable post workstation offering high speed editing and mixing.

ESP menu-free mixing gives users all the channels, outputs and automation needed to deliver complex mixes quickly and efficiently. To turbo charge editing, AMS Neve has added the latest editorial tools, including the new DSP ToolBox - a range of advanced DSP plug-ins.

AMS Neve's DFC console continues to set the world standard in digital film mixing. The award-winning console continues to impress film producers, directors and mixers alike and is the first choice for sound on many of Hollywood's blockbuster films. The DFC will be demonstrated at Sound One's facilities in New York City and will show attendees why it retains its position as the first choice for film mixing.

Features recently announced for the DFC include:

* Mix Conform - Encore has the most sophisticated automation editing package.
Picture changes can be entered manually or imported from an EDL. These
changes can be applied to the entire automation mix file or to individual
*Channel Parameters Library - Parameters from a channel strip may be stored
in a clipboard and subsequently recalled to any channel strip, or a range of
channel strips.
*Machine Manager - A new 'drag and drop' GUI for patching machines to channel
inputs or multitrack recorders. Users label devices in their studio and define their characteristics allowing quick re-patching for session set-ups.
* User Selectable Meter Display - The alphanumeric section of the meter bridge may be selected to display Channel Input patching or Process page information.

DFCs are installed at premier film stages worldwide including 4MC, Buena Vista, Les Auditoriums de Joinville, Skywalker Sound and Warner Bros. Recent sales include a third DFC to Buena Vista and a third DFC to Skywalker Sound.
