AMS Neve Delivers Digital Consoles to Zhejiang TV

The console will be used for live to air, live to tape and post production (November 30, 2005)

Zhejiang TV are about to take delivery of a two mix position Libra Live console. The console will be used for live to air, live to tape and post production in a purpose built 800 m2 studio, providing a range of live entertainment programmes.

The console was chosen after careful consideration of alternatives from Calrec, Studer, SSL and Euphonix. Key to the choice was the high sound quality, clear and simple routing, duplicate outputs, spare DSP capability and redundant power supplies offered by Neves digital broadcast consoles. The console fits into the facility wide MADI infrastructure providing fast and secure routing of audio.

Two mix positions provide total control over mix parameters for two mixers working together. A technique often used in film mixing but less common in broadcast, the dual control console allows a mixing team to control complex mixes from a wide range of sources. The configuration at Zhejiang includes 56 mic pre amps and will be used for both SD and HDTV broadcasts to 36 cities.

The console will be installed by AMS Neves Chinese distributor Beijing Golden Ding Ding.  BGDD Director SY Lau comments ?We are very proud to be associated with this prestigious project. We have a long relationship with Zhejiang TV and are confident the Neve Broadcast console will give them the features, sound and security they need for their high quality broadcast output.
