AJA Video Systems Approve ADTX RAID
L Series High Performance RAID Receives Official Qualification on Kona 2
Irvine, CA – April 19, 2005 – Advanced Technology and Systems Co., Ltd. (ADTX), a leading manufacturer of reliable and affordable high performance computer storage for the video, film and broadcasting industries, announces qualification of L Series High Performance SATA RAID for use on AJA Video Systems Kona 2 capture card.
“Testing was performed in my lab as well as in the field at one of the largest post production houses in the US," Said Ted Schilowitz, Worldwide Product Manager of Desktop Video for AJA Video Systems. “The ADTX L Series RAID passed for Dual Link 4:4:4 HD as well as 4:2:2 and all other formats".
“We confirmed the ability of the ADTX L Series to provide HD 4:4:4 performance,” noted Anton Linecker, Technical Ops Supervisor at Technicolor Creative Services in Hollywood. “The L Series is working well with the Kona 2 at our facility.”
By producing the RAID controllers of their own storage systems, ADTX is able to produce superior performing solutions. The L Series High Performance RAID controller design uses high speed memory and a parity generating coprocessor. This coprocessor increases the performance of the L Series RAID to create the throughput needed for high data rates.
“The L Series High Performance RAID has superior performance, great reliability and enterprise class features at a competitive price.” Says Naresh Chadha, President of International Operations for ADTX, “Anyone involved with Storage Area Networks, multiple SD streams or the higher end of HD should seriously consider the L Series High Performance RAID.”
ADTX will be exhibiting the L Series High Performance RAID at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) event April 18-21 in Las Vegas. In booth SL4555D, ADTX will demonstrate the superior performance of the L Series RAID by displaying live throughput results of the Kona 2. Also, ADTX will use NAB to introduce and display three new RAID systems. Additional information is available on the ADTX website at http://www.adtx.com/us or by calling (949) 583-2993.
