AISECT wins Best ICT in Financial Inclusion initiative Award at eGov 2011 Awards(February 04, 2012)
Bhopal-based organization AISECT has won the eminent eGov India 2011 Award as the Best ICT in Financial Inclusion initiatives. The award recognizes and acknowledges the innovative use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in financial/banking inclusionSince 2009, AISECT is extending hassle-free savings, loan facilities and other banking services at an affordable cost to the under privileged and unbanked population through business correspondent and business facilitator model. The award was handed over by Honorable Ms. Smriti Irani (Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha) and Mr. Ravi Saxena (Additional Chief Secretary. Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat).
Commenting on the awards, AISECTs CMD Mr. Santosh Choubey said, ?An important aspect of the internet potential is the possibility of providing services of all kinds accessible to all, anywhere and anytime. I feel honored when such initiatives and efforts of AISECT get acknowledged on such a platform. AISECT is already a leading IT Education, Training and Services player with strong inroads in rural and semi urban India. The eGov Award for the Best ICT in Financial Inclusion initiative is the latest in the long line of achievements and recognitions that AISECT has won over the years.
Through AISECTs sustained work in the last 26 years, it has not only created a sustainable national network of ICT enabled centres all over the country but has also bagged several prestigious awards like NASSCOM IT Innovation Award, The Indian Innovation Award, The National e-Governance Award, NASSCOM Emerge 50 leader, TiE-Lumis Partners Entrepreneurial Excellence Award and the National CSI 2011 Award for Excellence in IT.
