AEnhancers #04

After Effects Scripts make things easier By Ko Maruyama
AE Enhancers (or AENHANCERS.com), is a collection of over 850 different animators and compositors from all over the world who use Adobe After Effects to write special scripts, expressions, and presets for the AE community.  A great new script is here!  RADIUS, COSINE AND LAYERS! OH MY!  Not only do they answer questions and provide demonstrations how they've found new uses for features, but many times, the authors will provide the scripts and code for all.  Many people ask about how to start - well, here's where.

One of the common questions about scripting is where to start.  Alex, Paul, Stu, Mark, Lloyd, and a team too long to list, full of knowledgeable code warriors and brilliant animators, are pumping out more daily than you can imagine.  With a massive library of archived tutorials, AEnhancers.com is one of the first places to start your education.

Aenhancers not only has script discussions, and messages from contributors who will help you build scripts, but also houses cut-and-paste content and easy to download script builds.

Oscar Magalhaes has created a great script which allows you to spread a number of 3D layers into the shape of a sphere.  The expression makes groups (rows) of layers, and might be modified to create an open cylinder as well!

Free French lessons as well!   (Rang = Row).   However, if you're unfamiliar with spherical radii, cosine math, or other scary numbers, the only comfort I can give you is that Oscar has made the entire expression free for download!

You can register at AEnhancers here, but PLEASE REMEMBER to add some kind of information about yourself, so you don't show up as a robot! :

Now that one of Aenhancer's founder, and submission leaders is here in Los Angeles, we will try to integrate some advanced discussions at our monthly MGLA (Motion Graphics Los Angeles) meetings.
