ADTX To Debut Video Storage Devices

Lineup to include FireWire DV hard disk recorder By Dave Nagel
ADTX (Advanced Technologies and Systems Co.) is previewing several of its new storage devices that will debut next month. The new devices are all targeted toward broadcast and digital video applications and will be introduced at the NAB convention to be held in Las Vegas April 8 through 11.

Details about the new lineup are scant, but the new products will include

  • DV MasStor, a portable DV hard disk recorder that has two FireWire ports using a replaceable hard disk pack for direct recording of Digital Video.
  • G Series SCSI RAID systems (Desktop and Rackmount) that hold up to six disk drives per system.
  • K Series Ultra 160 SCSI RAID systems (Rackmount) in a scalable, 2U configuration. The K Series is targeted toward uncompressed video editing.

ADTX is a joint venture with IBM-Japan that manufactures and deploys FireWire, SCSI and Fibre Channel storage systems. At te NAB convention, ADTX will be located at Booth No. L13663, Multimedia, South Lower Level-LVCC. For more information, visit
