ACD Releases Canvas 9.0.2 Update

New version improves stability and performance By Dave Nagel
ACD Systems has released an update to Canvas 9, which the company took over when it acquired Deneba Software back in April. The new 9.0.2 (build 720) update addresses a number of issues discovered encountered the 9.0.1 update. The new version is available now for Mac OS X and Windows and applies to the Professional, GIS and Scientific Imaging editions.

Canvas 9.0.2 adds improved stability and performance and resolves several bugs on both Mac OS X and WIndows. Specific fixes are numerous and vary by operating system, but some of the general areas of improvement include opening and saving EPS and TIFF images; transforming objects; working with layers; navigation; converting objects and placed elements; image editing with CMYK images; working with sequences; creating slide shows with QuickTime; and other areas. A complete list of changes is available on ACD's Web site.

The Canvas 9.0.2-720 updater is available now as a free download for users of Canvas 9 or 9.0.1. Specific changes in the current Mac version can be found here; changes to the Windows version can be found here. For more general information, visit
