A Look Inside the Caesarstone Color Pop-Up Tour Dome

VAN NUYS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/19/12 -- Caesarstone USA, Inc. hosted a 2 day event in Seaport, New York April 4thand 5th as the first stop on their inaugural Color Pop-Up Tour. The event was held in honor of their 17 new colors while consumers, trade partners, and industry leaders gathered to share this unique and innovative experience.

On the dock with the New York City skyline and waterfront as a backdrop rose a huge, white dome which housed the seven events held throughout the two days, including educational seminars, public viewings, & VIP celebrations. The interior was designed by Dan Brunn of Dan Brunn Architecture.

Brunn, who also designed Caesarstone's stunning San Francisco showroom, for which he won Interior Design Magazine's prestigious Merit Award in 2007, commented, "What I love about Caesarstone is their dedication to the architect/designer community and to their vision. Caesarstone isn't just a product, it's an experience." So it seemed a perfect fit for Brunn, who already knows the Caesarstone vision well, to execute the artistic direction for the Pop-Up.

Caesarstone's Vice President of Marketing, Karen Schakarov, said, "The vision that I had for the 'Pop-Up Color Tour' was one that created an experience that touched all of the senses. It's easy to talk about branding and what the brand means, but what I wanted to achieve and to present was something with depth and dimension, something that could be felt and explored. Focusing on the "experience" Brunn did well to incorporate several key elements in the design. Large shelves of the new colors were installed horizontally on two sides of the dome which encouraged visitors to get up close, see, and feel the surfaces. Eight new Classico colors on one side, eight new Supremo colors on the other, and a large island in the middle. The island featured a benchtop made of White Crocodile (a new addition to the Motivo line) with a mirrored skirt. Brunn said of the island, "That was definitely my favorite part of the design. The mirrors were arranged in angles, like a funhouse, which reflected the colors of the people & the city. I wanted to create a space that was clean, open, & relaxing, but also encouraged guests to interact with the materials, to see their image reflected back at them."

The Caesarstone Color Pop-Up Tour attracted hundreds of visitors, and has several other stops to make throughout the United States. While the next stop has yet been announced, it is sure to be an innovating and awe-inspiring experience from the well-established global leader in the quartz industry.
