15 handcuffed at Times Square rally against greedPeople handcuff about 15 people demonstrating in NYC's Times Square against corporate greed
NEW YORK (AP) ' Police have handcuffed 15 demonstrators in New York City's Times Square at a rally against corporate greed and loaded them into a van.
It wasn't immediately clear Saturday night what charges they might face, if any. It was the latest in a series of arrests of demonstrators affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Earlier, 24 people were arrested at a Citibank branch when they refused a manager's request to leave. Activists had entered the bank to close their accounts in protest of the role big banks played in the nation's financial crisis.
Police say most of the people arrested were detained for trespassing. One was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest.
Five other people wearing masks also were arrested as demonstrators marched through Manhattan to Times Square.
